Nielsen Music: Tarkan Track Fastest Rising
The Turkish branch of Nielsen Music, a division of leading global market research association The Nielsen Company, has published the Turkish top 5 charting songs on its Twitter account today, and tweeted that regional weekend airplay figures show Tarkan track "Aşk Gitti Bizden" (Love Left Us) is the fastest rising single in the charts (pictured left).Tarkan had only unveiled the track, from long-time producer and friend Ozan Çolakoğlu's début album 01, via his official social networks on the 1st of June. The king of pop's first public performance of the original track was at Çolakoğlu's album release party on the 2nd of June in Istanbul.
Official sources have said that the album's scheduled release, which features a veritable who's who of Turkish pop stars in its track list, is expected to start on the 6th of June with digital sales, followed by hard copies hitting the shelves the succeeding Monday, on the 11th of this month.
Listeners living in the Turkish provinces can already purchase Tarkan's "Aşk Gitti Bizden" as a single track from D&R store's online digital music shop, Music Club. The leading music company's digital store will be releasing tracks separately each day this week from the album, culminating in a second Tarkan track, a cover version of Sezen Aksu's 90s hit "Hadi Bakalım" being released on Sunday, Turkish record label DMC head Samsun Demir has tweeted.
DMC representative Demir's official Twitter account and Tarkan's official Twitter account were tweeted the chart rise of "Aşk Gitti Bizden" by Nielsen Music from its official account.
