Release Notes
Tarkan's first international album is a compilation album of his two previous albums A-acayipsin and Ölürüm Sana released when he was offered an international licensing deal after the head of the French arm of PolyGram heard his Ölürüm Sana album, bought by a friend as a holiday memento.

In 1999, the sales of this album won Tarkan a World Music Award in Monaco.

The tracklist to the Tarkan album varies slightly depending on country and year of release. The first release has a 14 song track list, the re-release has 15 tracks. In some countries the album was released with the original album version of "Şımarık" as the opening track and the Malagutti remix of "Şımarık" as the 14th (final) track. A limited edition of the 14 track European release came with an autograph by Tarkan and a message "With love and big kisses".

The re-release of the Tarkan album saw a name change and an additional track. Track number 3 was renamed "Bu Gece" (Kır Zincirlerini) - Remix '99 (taken from the single) and the original version of "Bu Gece" was placed as the 15th (final) track.

Music videos filmed after the release of this album were for those tracks released as singles. To correspond with this album's European release, the videos were all European productions -

Videos filmed for the other two album releases this album was complied from, all being Turkish productions, were -

A-acayipsin album

  • Dön Bebeğim; Dir: Abdullah Oğuz
  • Gül Döktüm Yollarına (This was filmed for a new year show on TV, is not an official video and therefore difficult to find on the Net.)

Ölürüm Sana album

  • Ölürüm Sana; Istanbul Plak/Loft
  • Salına Salına Sinsice; Dir: Metin Arolat
  • İkimizin Yerine; Dir: Mete Özgencil
